Running Boards for SWT 24'' / REV-XU

How to tell if your Ski-Doo snowmobile is an SWT (24”) model and which platform it uses

SWT (Super Wide Track, 24”) models are built for extreme conditions, offering outstanding stability and excellent flotation in deep snow. Up until 2020, they used the rugged REV-XU chassis, known for its reinforced aluminum tunnel and wide, minimally perforated running boards designed for the 24-inch track.

Since 2021, Ski-Doo has upgraded the Skandic SWT and Expedition SWT to the REV Gen4 platform, delivering improved ergonomics, enhanced handling, and better integration of modern accessories.

✅ 1. Check the year and model

• 2009 to 2020: Skandic SWT or Expedition SWT → REV-XU SWT chassis (24”)

• 2021 and newer: Skandic SWT and Expedition SWT → REV Gen4 SWT platform (24”)

✅ 2. Measure the track width

• 24 inches = SWT (Super Wide Track) model

• Different from WT (20”) models, which are not compatible with many SWT parts and accessories

✅ 3. Identify the visual features
REV-XU SWT (up to 2020):

• Wide, minimally perforated running boards with right angles

• Extra-wide aluminum tunnel with side reinforcements

• Tubular or flat front bumper depending on version

REV Gen4 SWT (2021 and newer):

• More ergonomic running board design with improved snow evacuation

• Redesigned cockpit for a more natural riding position

• Optimized tunnel for accessory integration
