How to tell if your Polaris snowmobile is on an AXYS chassis
Between 2015 and 2021, Polaris used the AXYS chassis on a wide variety of models. This chassis is known for its agility, precise handling, and more modern design compared to previous generations.
However, with the release of the Matryx chassis in 2021, it can be tricky to tell them apart. Here’s how to spot the difference.
✅ 1. Check the year and model
If your Polaris snowmobile is from model years 2015 to 2020, it’s very likely on an AXYS chassis.
In 2021, Polaris introduced the Matryx chassis, but several models remained on AXYS — making it a transition year.
Most newer models (2022 and up) have switched to the Matryx chassis.
✅ 2. Check if the model name contains “Matryx” or “Slash”
